VC Input #4

J-Daze regatta was a great success with 29 boats on the line. The weather was good - a mix of sun and rain, but most importantly there was wind both days - perhaps on sunday more wind than many would have really liked, the mark set boat clocked gusts of 30!

Keith Calkins held a Protest Committee training session which was very well run. The training covered a protest committee format and proceedures. This was a timely meeting as J-Daze did have a protest that went to committee which was well freshed to handle the case.

The volunteer's calendar is being worked on and here is the calendar link that can be viewed by any one to check the schedule for volunteers on the RC boat. This calendar is a work in progress and to a certain extent experimental at the moment in an attempt to see if web collaboration can make the work load easier and more efficient! Chritina Perin, the Volunteer coordinator is collaborating with me on this Google calendar - we'll see if it works!!

Looking through the postings on this blog we noticed a comment to one!! Way to go - this at least shows that some one some where is reading the blog - thanks! It's pretty exciting to see that!

Currently the PRO schedule is being set up - this is an enormous task ensuring that the work load is spread evenly and individual preferences are met - this will be circulated very shortly.
